Faculty, students and community members are welcome to discuss selections of The Messianic Idea in Judaism by Gershon Scholem. This discussion will be led by Professor Benjamin Lorch (MSU, James Madison College). Professor Lorch recommends reading pages 1-141 and 282-303: this is the first four chapters, plus the essay on "Revelation and Tradition as Religious Categories in Judaism."
